The Holidays used to be my favorite time of the year. I would look forward to decorating the house, planning Secret Santa with family and friends, buying gifts (wrapping them is my absolute FAVE!), planning outfits, and just doing all the fun little things that the holidays bring. Unfortunately, this year, I’m NOT looking forward to any of these events or activities. As a matter of fact, my stomach seems to turn every time my friends ask about outfits, food and gifts. When they ask “Who’s going to Christmas dinner” it KILLS my insides. These days, everything has been split in two and my friends feel the pain as well. Sometimes, I wish I could stop time. Other times, I wish i could rewind it. But, what is the point of dwelling on the past? I must, like time, keep moving forward.
This may not be the greatest Holiday season I’ve ever had. But, I’m still grateful for it. I’m making the best of what I have and trusting in God. I’m hopeful that he has big things planned for my daughter and I.
If you’re feeling sad and alone, or, just wished you could push a pause button on time. I want you to know, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I also want you to know that, we can dress up and smile together! Even though our souls may feel beaten, your current situation does not define you!!! However, it is up to YOU to change it and keep moving forward.
ABOUT THE OUTFIT: The Paper bag pants and top are from H&M Outlet Stores. The shoes are from STEVE MADDEN (They are not the most comfortable shoes 🙁 ).
ps: These pants were so hard to photograph in because they run big. If you decide to get them, go down a size…or two 😉
Thank you for reading and coming by! Don’t forget to smile, it’s contagious 😉
So my friend, WHY DO YOU LOVE/HATE THE HOLIDAYS?Shey
