What is it with us always looking for ways to appear taller/slimmer? (crying emoji). I’ve talked about how jumpsuits are just sooo super easy to style. It’s like, put it on and go!. Yet, they make you feel and look so polished and stylish. This specific one is tricky to wear because the ankle length can crush your dreams of wanting to appear taller.
If you have a smaller body-build, people would say; “Stay away from ankle length, go with bell bottoms or full length!”. I’m one to say: No matter what your body type is, wear what your little heart desires! The trick is to know what to pair it with. For ankle length pants/skirts/ dresses, I love going for pointy pumps. The heel will obviously add height and the pointy structure will give you a continuation type flow, making you look taller! Not to mention, pointy pumps make you look so sophisticated and elegant.
For this jumpsuit, I went with a pair of nude pumps and a matching nude clutch. I wanted the back of it to be the center of attention. So, I threw my hair up in a high pony. Bonus, pony tails make you look younger (that is a plus for me) Since people already ask if I’m 18. Haha. Oh, funny people.
To recap my dear, I say, wear whatever your heart desires! But, pair it smart. That is the key to success hahaha (Remember that phrase from DJ Khaled?)
I’m loving these little short clips. Sometimes, it’s soooo easy to make an outfit work in a picture. However, most of the time, those outfits are unrealistic. It’s safe to say that if it doesn’t work in a video, it probably won’t work in real life. I enjoy being real! 😉
ABOUT THE OUTFIT: The jumpsuit was a gift from my friend, similar super cute options below! The shoes are from STEVE MADDEN. The Clutch is super old, similar “dream goals” option below 😉
As always my dear, thank you so much for reading and coming by! Instead of the usual Casual Friday tomorrow, I’ll be uploading a New Year’s Eve outfit inspo with items from my closet! Can’t wait to see you tomorrow.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO TALLER? Does it make you feel more empowered?
